Finance and Accounting
What the Finance and Accounting unit does:
The Finance and Accounting unit provides full financial and accounting support to PFSCM projects and its entire operation. The unit assumes primary day-to- day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial and accounting activities. This includes direct responsibility for transactional accounting, financial management, budgeting/forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis, client contract compliance, and partner contracting.
Key activities include:
- Project Management: Directly support PFSCM operations, from funding, through obligation, to final project closeout.
- Cash Management: Manage entire PFSCM cash/finance activities, manage reconciliation, and ensure prompt secure payment to all vendors.
- Subcontract Management: Review and negotiate client and partner contracts, provide budget guidance, determine funding requirements, monitor NICRA/other direct and indirect rates, manage and approve invoices.
- System Change Coordination: Access and re-access financial reporting and project workflow requirements and coordinate with MIS on related system modifications.
- Budget/Reporting and Analysis: Produce internal and external financial reporting, produce cash flow forecasts and analysis, and develop annual budget and long-range planning.
