Logistics
What the Logistics unit does:
The Logistics unit is responsible for working within the import/export documentation requirements for different countries along with managing 3PL for end-to-end supply chain that also includes handling all other exceptions that may occur during the process.
Key activities include:
- Ensure timely logistics execution of international transport of goods into the specific countries (export, shipping lanes etc.), the importation and clearance, and in-country delivery of goods for all categories of products managed by PFSCM.
- Manage the shipment process, as appropriate per project or category or order, including reviewing shipping documents, creating advanced shipping notifications, issuing pick-up and delivery instructions, shipment monitoring and proof of delivery.
- Proactively monitor vendor overall performance on a regular basis to ensure necessary export documents are received timely and orders are delivered on time, in full.
- Proactively identify shipment delay/issues and resolve and/or communicate the issues to management in a timely manner, as needed
- Identify consolidation opportunities within a particular order and/or across countries, in coordination with the Strategic Supply Chain and Client Services units.
